CAFÉ BABETTE - LATEM

The client wanted to create a gathering place in Sint-Martens-Latem, offering a wide range of drinks and tapas in a cosy and sophisticated atmosphere. Café Zonnedans, as the place was previous known, was completely transformed. The main building’s ceiling and first floor were dismantled in order to create an impressive dome ceiling in the lounge area. A new extension was added, housing a bar with windows on both sides. On the left, a patio reveals some greenery and even a tree; on the right, a window - which slides into the wall completely - leads you to the terrace.
The selected materials and lighting warm up the space and underline the details in brass, wood, ceramic and natural stone.
